SHANA & JAMES BARFORD PARK BARN WEDDING
July 27, 2019
It feels like a lifetime ago that I met with Shana & James to discuss their big day. Like with most of my couples, S&J were super chilled and we got on instantaneously. Before long the day had arrived and after getting horribly lost, I rocked up at Shana’s bridal prep ready to start the day. I was lucky enough to work alongside the fabulously talented videographer Bryony and to have the lovely Rachel second shooting for me (Rachel thank you so much for saving my skin, I will forever be grateful!)
Shana was completely relaxed throughout the morning and ready WAY earlier than most brides (I rocked up to get ready at my venue 4 hours later than planned). After sliding into her dress and doing the big reveal – dad I got saw ya wipe away those tears, I headed off to St Peter & St Paul’s Church ready for the I do’s. I always love a good church wedding and St Peters & St Paul’s did not disappoint. Luckily for me there was tons of space to move around – which always helps. The service went by without a hitch, James shed some tears – good job, and there was plenty of confetti to go around! S&J had the ultimate ride for their guests with their big red bus, a cracking idea (this dropped off their guests at Barford Barn and then picked them all up at the end of the night). After getting some shots of the newly weds outside the church, it was on to Barford Barn. Barns are my thing – I want to shoot Barn weddings always, they’re the best! S&J had decorated Barford beautifully and had even provided space hoppers. Note to my future couples; bring space hoppers to your wedding day, they make everything more fun. After a few hops and some group shots (I’m rhyming now), it was time for dinner and speeches. The guys all nailed their speeches, there was laughter and tears throughout which is the perfect combination.
I love a party with a live band and loads of dancing, S&J’s wedding nailed both. The band were epic (S&J send me their details so that I can tag them), and the guests dancing was questionable – only joking it was fabulous! I loved every moment of this day, it was made even more enjoyable by the fact that Shana’s lovely dad bought Bryony and I a drink at the end of the night, we even had a little boogie. I swear I would have stayed and partied all night long, if only I didn’t have an hour and a half drive back home and two small humans waiting for me.
Shana & Jim, you two are amazing, thank you for letting me be a part of your awesome day. You rocked it and it is definitely one to remember!
I hope you love your preview
