SOPHIE & JACKS BONHAM BARN WEDDING
April 22, 2019
I met with the lovely Sophie & Jack last year and we hit it off straight away. It wasn’t long until we realised that Sophie went to school with my Hubby, I love it when I get an ‘it’s a small world’ realisation. On our first meeting I had the opportunity to have a nosey at S&J’s house (we had our meeting there, I didn’t just pop over for a stalk). It was after seeing how gorgeous their decor was that I became super excited about their big day! Sophie could literally be an interior design – Sophie change careers. They even had the most beautiful yellow armchair, it may appear in a photo or two… or ten. At the end of our chat, I was ready for S&J to adopt me, we had so much in common and they were so easy to get along with, I felt as if I’d known them forever. Safe to say, I was hyped about photographing their wedding day.
As usual, time flew by and before we knew it their big day had arrived. After turning up at their old address (courtesy of Sophie), I finally arrived at their gaff ready for what I knew would be a fab day. I’d like to add that when I first met Sophie, she was not rocking the purple hair, but I am so glad that she was in time for her wedding – it looked awesome! Sophie and her parents/bridesmaids were super chilled throughout the bridal prep. The flowers were beautiful, it was hard to believe that they were artificial -thank you very much the range.
Before we knew it we were heading off to the venue to say I dos. Boham’s Barn is perfectly gorgeous, I would shoot here every week (hook me up if you’ve booked this venue). The outdoor setup was picturesque and the sun was shinning – with plenty of clouds, yay for me! Sophie and Jacks ceremony was emotional to say the least, I was attempting to wipe away my tears without anyone noticing… It is my favourite thing when I get to see two people so stupid crazy in love, say I dos, and trust me, I can always tell!
After the delicious hog had been served, the speeches commenced. Sophie’s Papa, Jack and Tom all nailed their speeches, there was laughter and tears, the perfect combo. I honestly have never heard a grooms speech that has so much love for the brides family within it, you guys are so lucky! The rest of the day went by with beer pong, bubbles and weird games that I’ve never heard of. I had so much fun photographing every single part of their day. To top it all off, Sophie’s super talented friend sang for S&J, I’m gutted that I can’t remember her name as she was insanely talented and should be crazy famous.
Sophie and Jack, thank you from the bottom of my heart for letting me share your big day with you, you two could not be more perfect for each other and I wish you all the happiness in the world. Lots of love xx
